March 1987 – April 1989. Pepperidge Farm is of course a bakery. At this location, we made bread, English muffins, bagels and stuffing. While I was there we added a crouton line.

As part of the small engineering department, I mostly worked on controls but had to get involved with some mechanical items as well. The excellent maintenance department helped a lot with the mechanical end.
If you’ve read the Donnelley entry, you’ll know that I wound up at Pepperidge Farm to avoid a string of layoffs happening at Donnelley. Another reason for choosing Pepperidge Farm was to have a low travel job.
